Michigan State Spartans Add Division II Transfer Aidan Boehle to Defensive Line

Michigan State Spartans have added another piece to their 2026 roster, securing a commitment from former Division II defensive lineman Aidan Boehle. The 6-foot-6, 250-pound defender arrives in East Lansing with two years of eligibility remaining and provides additional depth to a position group that continues to be a focus for the Spartans heading into the season. Boehle spent the past two seasons at Division II Winona State, where he appeared in eight games and recorded five tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. After entering the transfer portal during the offseason, Boehle initially committed to Harding and was expected to play for the Bisons this fall. However, those plans ultimately fell through, leading him back into the transfer portal, where Michigan State emerged as his landing spot. While making the jump from Division II football to the Big Ten presents a significant challenge, Boehle offers intriguing physical tools with his length and frame. He will look to work his way into Michigan State's defensive line rotation this season while continuing his development at the FBS level. With two years of eligibility remaining, Boehle also gives the Spartans a longer-term option if additional time is needed to adjust to the increased level of competition. His addition provides Michigan State with another depth piece in the trenches as the program continues to build its roster heading into the 2026 campaign.
